DEGREES:
Medicine: The medical degree is a long-term program of the Pomeranian Medical University of Szczecin, structured in 6 academic years (12 semesters). After its finalization and approval of the studies, the student will be awarded an official diploma in medicine, as a Physician “MD”. Each academic year covers 60 ECTS credits, which the student will have to pass. The amount of hours in total, of seminars and practical hours amounts to 5710 academic hours.
Dentistry: The dentistry degree is also a long-term program of the Pomeranian Medical University of Szczecin, structured in 5 academic years (10 semesters). After its finalization and approval of the studies, the student will be awarded an official diploma in medicine, as a Dentist “DMD”. The first two years will serve the student as an introduction, where content about essential medicine and preclinical studies are taught. From the third year on, the content immerses in dental and clinical disciplines. Each academic year covers 60 ECTS credits, which the student will have to pass. The set of academic hours, of seminars and practical hours amounts to 5000 hours.
LOCATION:
Szczecin is the historic capital located in the western region of Pomerania, at the Oder River, in the south of the Lagoon Szczecin. The city is located just 12 kilometers from the German border and only 150km far from Berlin. Thus, getting to Szczecin from Spain is easy, by a direct flight to the German capital and taking a short ride by train to the main station, from where the train to Szczecin leaves.
